Icona’s distinguished board has experience spanning a multitude of industries, markets, and high-value projects.
Jean-Pierre Verlaine serves as board member of several Luxembourg regulated investment funds and non-regulated alternative investment funds with special focus on real estate & infrastructure, private equity and debt strategies. He has more than ten years’ experience as managing director and partner at the European private equity funds advisor J. Hirsch & Co, where he managed over EUR 1 billion in assets. Mr Verlaine has also been deputy director at Société Européenne de Banque S.A. Luxembourg – Gruppo Banca Intesa, with a strong track record in the alternative funds industry and transaction management.
Edward Spencer-Churchill started his career at Bain & Company. He has over 20 years’ experience investing in a wide range of companies and industries. Ed oversaw the £500 million business process outsourcing transactions for Pearl Group with Tata Consultancy Services in 2005 which transformed the business. Most recently he has overseen SCP’s investment into Abacai Group, a personal line insurance technology business.
Jaume Sabater is a former Director at Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild S.A, specialized in real estate and alternative investments, where he was head of real estate and dedicated accounts. He was responsible for the launch of the first Swiss Real Estate SICAV (ERRES).
He studied Business administration at ESADE Business & Law School in Barcelona and obtained a master degree in international management from the Community of European Management Schools both in St Gallen University and ESADE Barcelona.
